As Business Development Manager, based within the Sales department, you will play a central role in the company's growth strategy, working in close coordination with the Sales team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Identification of strategic opportunities: active prospecting for In-Licensing and Co-Marketing opportunities aligned with overall commercial objectives.
- Business development project management: coordination of BD&L (Business Development & Licensing) initiatives, competitor mapping, therapeutic segment analysis, and monitoring of cross-functional strategic projects.
- Contractual negotiation management: handling of confidentiality agreements, definition of terms, coordination of commercial plans, and oversight of due diligence processes.
- Representation at key events: participation in congresses, forums, and meetings with external partners. Ensuring operational follow-up after these encounters.
- Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with internal teams (Medico Marketing, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure the success of BD projects.
- Business case consolidation: in coordination with the COO and Finance department, ensuring the availability and quality of files required for strategic decision-making.
- Reporting and budget management: Preparing monthly department reports and contributing to the development of the annual budget.
Travel within France and internationally is expected (20%).
Requirements
- Education: Master's / PhD level (Bac+5/Bac+8) in a scientific field, ideally complemented by an MBA or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven track record in licensing, business development, or M&A project coordination in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Financial expertise: Solid understanding of economic and financial models applied to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Combined with a strong ability to collaborate within an agile organization.
- Negotiation & communication: Proven skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (internal and external).
- Languages: Fluent English required; proficiency in French is an asset.
