

Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We are seeking applications from outstanding candidates across the academic spectrum (Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor) in Mathematics Education.
In this role, you will contribute to teaching, research, and service within initial teacher education programmes. You will deliver research-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, support students in professional experience placements, and contribute to curriculum development.
At more senior levels, you will demonstrate academic leadership through mentoring colleagues, leading research initiatives, securing external funding, and contributing to School and University strategy. You will bring expertise in the New Zealand Curriculum and contemporary mathematics teaching practices, alongside a commitment to advancing research in mathematics education.
Salary will be in the range of $92,603 to $110,407 per year for a Lecturer, $113,428 to $148,799 per year for a Senior Lecturer, or $150,661 to $166,176 per year for an Associate Professor, based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.
