RESEARCH SCIENTIST VI, Step 3

Purpose of the Position:

Provide cyber defense and analysis duties under the guidance of the Information System Security Manager (ISSM). Aid in implementing security strategies to ensure compliance with mission objectives and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide cyber defense and analysis duties under the guidance of the Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
• Aid in implementing security strategies to ensure compliance with mission objectives and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and regulations
• Analyze complex cyber threats and vulnerabilities to develop mitigation strategies
• Develop and refine threat intelligence reports, processes, and tools
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for signs of malicious activity

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree with 108 - 114 months (9 - 9.5 years) of full-time work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity within a military environment.
• US citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree with 120 months (10 years) of full-time work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity within a military environment.
• COMPTIA Security+ CE and COMPTIA Network+ CE certifications.

$117,771 - $123,000.00
