We are seeking an Automation Framework Engineer (Architect-Level) to design and own our next-generation test automation ecosystem. This role goes beyond traditional QA automation—you will define the end-to-end automation strategy, integrating AI-driven testing, scalable frameworks, and enterprise DevOps tooling.
You’ll work at the intersection of automation architecture, AI, and platform engineering, enabling faster, smarter, and more reliable software delivery—particularly within document-heavy, compliance-driven environments.
What You’ll Do
- Architect scalable UI automation frameworks (Playwright primary, Selenium legacy)
- Integrate automation into Azure DevOps (pipelines, test plans, traceability)
- Design AI-driven testing solutions using:
- Azure OpenAI (test generation, regression optimization)
- Azure Document Intelligence (OCR/document validation)
- Claude + Azure DevOps (test creation, pipeline execution, reporting, script maintenance)
- Build reusable API testing frameworks (Postman, GraphQL, PactumJS)
- Enable CI/CD orchestration, reporting, and quality insights
- Implement logging, observability, and failure analytics
- Support document-heavy workflows (compliance, disclosures, OCR validation)
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks at scale
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Deep understanding of AI-driven testing approaches
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure DevOps
- Experience working with distributed systems and integrations
- Architect-level thinking: ability to define strategy, not just implement
Nice to Have
- Experience in Mortgage, FinTech, or highly regulated domains
- Exposure to document processing, OCR, or compliance workflows
- Experience integrating LLMs into engineering or QA workflows
Why This Role is Different
- You’ll own the automation vision, not just contribute to it
- Work with cutting-edge AI in QA, not just traditional automation
- High-impact role shaping engineering velocity and product quality
- Opportunity to influence tooling, architecture, and strategy across teams
