At Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS), our Dermatology team is looking for a technician with a strong anesthesia knowledge base (or solid anesthesia experience) and a genuine interest in growing and developing your advanced specialty skills. You’ll work directly alongside our Dermatologist as part of a supportive, cohesive team that takes pride in exceptional patient care and thoughtful client service.

What you’ll do - Assist with various specialty procedures and diagnostics
- Provide anesthesia & procedure support
- Set up, monitor, and recover patients for sedation and anesthesia
- Track trends, anticipate needs, and communicate changes quickly and clearly
- Advanced nursing & dermatology case support
- Provide excellent care for hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Support chronic dermatology patients and long-term care plans
- Process laboratory samples and handle dermatology-specific diagnostics
- Partner closely with doctors, technicians, and client service to ensure a smooth experience
- Client communication
- Confidently educate and support clients through chronic and recurring conditions
- Communicate clearly with referring veterinarians as needed
What we’re looking for - 2+ years experience as a veterinary technician
- CVT/RVT/LVT preferred (or willingness/desire to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong anesthesia experience and skills
- Specialty experience is a plus—Dermatology is preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills and a teamplayer mindset
- A collaborative, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to patient care and team focused mindset
