About the Role
Summit Business Technologies is looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Assistant or Marketing Intern to support day-to-day marketing operations and business development tasks. This role focuses on the execution side of marketing- helping manage marketing platforms, publish content, and support campaigns.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience with real marketing tools and campaigns in the technology and cybersecurity space.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and organizing marketing contact lists
Supporting quarterly marketing campaigns, including email and social media initiatives
Assisting with building, scheduling, and distributing email campaigns through Mailchimp
Publishing blog posts and updating content on the company website
Assisting with the creation, scheduling, and management of social media content
Supporting marketing reporting, analytics tracking, and database cleanup
Assisting with account management tasks, including distributing and following up on surveys
Supporting the development and promotion of webinars and other outreach initiatives
Conducting research on target prospects and potential clients
Identifying opportunities for additional services within existing client accounts
Helping organize and maintain marketing assets and campaign materials
Assisting with trade show preparation and booth design as needed
Utilizing AI tools to support marketing efforts, including content drafting, idea generation, and workflow efficiency
Filling in with customer communications where necessary
Other assistance as needed to the Marketing, Business Development, and Account Management teams
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Interest in marketing, communications, digital media, or graphic design (marketing/design overlap preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment
Deadline oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Willingness to learn new software, tools, and marketing platforms
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
Basic understanding of AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar) and their use in marketing workflows
Customer-centric mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with or willingness to learn platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Microsoft 365, and ConnectWise
High performer with a proactive attitude
Minimum of a two-year degree, preferably with emphasis on information systems or technology management, or the equivalent combination of experience and training
Must have access to a personal computer and reliable internet connection
All tools are cloud-based; a company computer will not be provided for interns
Ability to use company security tools (including multi-factor authentication such as Duo)
