Overview
Join our team as an
Ocean Product Solution Manager Europe, where you’ll ensure the seamless execution of ocean product solutions across the region while managing the procurement budget. You’ll drive best in class service quality, customer compliance, and satisfaction, and lead the continuous optimization and development of procurement processes in close collaboration with the Procurement Team.
Responsibilities
- Organization and coordination of requests for offers and freight tenders
- Optimization of processes and workflows within the Procurement department
- Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while adhering to customer-specific processes and procedures
- Development of successful sourcing strategies using IT tools (internal & external)
- Conduct negotiations with external suppliers
- Initiation of business or organizational partnerships
- Collaborate with key people to achieve the best possible outcome
- Conduct risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Support and consulting of customers, as well as acquisition of new customers
- Ensuring the smooth and on time processing of freight tenders
- Optimize and ensure documentation of procedures and processes within the Procurement Team.
- Supporting and advising the customers
- Preparation of calculations, analyses and presentations
- Editing and maintenance of the CRM's and ensuring current data entry
- Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or completed commercial training in freight forwarding
- Proven experience in international forwarding/ procurement management
- Experience in leading negotiation and discussions
- Fluent oral and written English is a must
- Additional (major) European languages would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills with a structured, analytical, and organized approach
- Project driven mindset with the ability to work independently and accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard PC applications
- Flexible, resilient, and able to perform well under pressure
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, and a growth-oriented mindset
