The Graduate School of Education (NUGSE) is a leading institution of higher education, ranked #1 in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, #4 among CIS countries, and placed in the 176–200 band globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025. NUGSE offers three degree programs: the Master of Science in Educational Leadership, with specializations in School Education, Higher Education, and Inclusive Education; the Master of Arts in Multilingual Education; and the Doctor of Philosophy in Education. All three programs are accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), UK. These programs are carefully designed to prepare visionary leaders, change agents, and policy influencers who are equipped to shape the educational landscape of Kazakhstan and beyond.

Senior manager is imposed with the following functions:
1) preparation budgetary applications of the School for the corresponding fiscal year and for the medium term;
2) assisting the Head of the School in monitoring the timely and targeted execution of the School’s budget for the corresponding financial year;
3) input of data of the approved budget of the School, budget adjustments, and mid-term budget requests of the School in 1C Enterprise, as well as the formation of budget reports;
4) preparation of references, information, and analytical materials for summary reports, and presentations for the management of the School;
5) consideration and approval of draft agreements and other documents of the School within his/her competence;
6) preparation of requests for procurement of the School;
7) preparation of other documents and reports in a timely manner within his/her competence;
8) consulting and methodological assistance on issues within the competence of the Senior Manager;
9) participation in identification, evaluation, management, and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
10) timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Dean, the Head, and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.
Education
Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with the English language of instruction.
Priority specializations:

Work experience
- For a master’s degree, at least 3-year work experience in areas corresponding to the functional areas of a particular position;
- With a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree, work experience in the specialty is at least 5 years in the areas corresponding to the functional areas of a particular position in international and/or national companies.
Professional competencies
- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;
- knowledge of the financial legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- skills in preparing and conducting presentations;

- fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian;

Recruitment and selection process
Recruitment and selection at Nazarbayev University include the following process: preliminary selection based on experience and qualifications, assessments (e.g. technical skills/capabilities, aptitude, personality, work samples, in-basket exercises, and informal interviews), and motivation.
Formal interviews form the final stage of the selection process.
