About the Role
The Receiving Work Leader is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving operations for fresh flowers, ensuring product is accurately offloaded, inspected, and processed. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and coordinate daily receiving operations, including offloading, breakdown, labeling, and check-in of inbound shipments
• Monitor team performance to ensure accuracy, proper handling of perishable products, and effective use of RF scanning equipment
• Partner with replenishment, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure timely product flow and resolution of discrepancies
• Communicate receiving issues, including quantity or temperature discrepancies, to appropriate teams
• Conduct daily team huddles to review performance, priorities, and workload expectations
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including dock lock procedures and equipment inspections
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of receiving and material handling areas
• Track and report daily receiving metrics and approve team timekeeping
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment. The position requires lifting up to 50–60 pounds and working with perishable products in a temperature-controlled environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Schedule: Wednesday- Saturday, 6:00 AM – finish (schedule may vary based on business needs, including holidays and workload)
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
• Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Proficiency in warehouse systems (Apprise preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment
• Knowledge of handling perishable goods (fresh flowers or similar products preferred)
• Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
