We're looking for a hands-on Community and Events Manager to own Sting's events, build our community, and shape the experience of being in our office.
Sting backs exceptional founders with bold ideas, giving them the early, deep, and tailored support they need to build impactful, global companies. The events you run, the community you build, and the office you create are how we show up for them day to day, alongside our alumni, partners, and investors.
This is one of the highest-leverage roles at Sting. Hundreds of founders, partners, and investors will form their impression of Sting through your work.
What you will do:
Plan and run events
- Own events end-to-end, from concept to follow-up
- Produce Sting's flagship moments, including Demo Day
- Run partner, investor, startup, and ecosystem events
- Secure and manage event vendors, including catering and AV
- Curate speakers, agendas, and content for events
- Use AI and modern tools to do more with less
Build and nurture the community
- Make every cohort founder feel known and supported
- Activate and grow our alumni network of 500+ startups
- Build relationships with founders across the startup ecosystem
- Create moments that connect founders, investors, partners, and the larger startup ecosystem
Manage the office and visitor experience
- Make the office somewhere founders, employees, and partners want to be
- Keep the office running day to day, including ordering supplies, managing deliveries, maintaining conference rooms and office tech, and setting up the space for events
- Stay on top of the small practical details, like cleaning out the fridge or changing a light bulb
- Shape how the space looks and feels
We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience in events, community, or program operations.
You are a...
- Strong relationship builder - You build trust easily and remember what matters to the people you work with.
- Service-minded - You take pride in making things easier for the people around you, and put their needs first.
- Composed under pressure - You stay calm when things go wrong and solve problems in real time.
- No task too big or small - You move easily between planning a polished investor event and restocking the kitchen, without ego about either.
- Detail-oriented - You notice and act on the small things that determine whether an event lands.
- Reliable - You commit to a vendor, founder, or partner and the thing happens. Deadlines and handshakes hold.
- Strong sense of taste - You have a clear point of view on how a space and an event should look and feel.
Experience & capabilities
- Experience running events end-to-end, including large, complex events with hundreds of attendees
- Experience building engaged communities, online and offline
- Strong project management across multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
- Experience with event platforms (e.g. Luma, Confetti), online community platforms (e.g. Circle), CRMs (e.g. HubSpot), design tools (e.g. Canva), and video editing
- Daily use of AI tools to draft, organize, and move faster
- Well connected in the Swedish startup ecosystem
- A good understanding of startups and founders’ needs
- Fluent in both Swedish and English
What matters in this role
- Passion for startups, technology, and founders trying to change the world
- Ability to manage multiple events without losing the details
- A drive to push what events, community, and the office can be at Sting
- Thrives in a fast-paced, in-person, startup environment
- High standards for craft, taste, and consistency
- Curiosity and a drive to build and improve, including using AI to do more with less
- Flexibility for evening and occasional weekend events

- A small, skilled, and dedicated team where your work genuinely matters
- A fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where you can grow and shape your role over time
- The opportunity to work alongside exceptional founders who are solving the world's biggest challenges
- A culture where your word is your word, where we'd rather try something new than run the same playbook, and where we always go the extra mile for the founders we back
