Backend Developer
Position Summary
We are seeking a Backend Developer to support the design, development, and enhancement of its suite of software applications of the Apprenticeship Compliance System. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative development environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually

Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend application and database components for both new and existing systems
- Participate in the review and development of technical requirements and system specifications
- Contribute to the development of test cases, scenarios, and plans to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Implement system enhancements, modifications, and monitoring solutions in accordance with approved requirements
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and expand database structures, APIs, and ETL processes
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and protection standards
- Participate in team meetings to communicate progress, identify challenges, and support development planning
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues, including memory utilization and I/O bottlenecks
- Provide technical support related to asynchronous processing and application performance optimization
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience Requirements: 4–6 years of professional software development experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience within the .NET ecosystem, including Entity Framework Core
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
