This role will be part of a larger team developing and supporting application solutions for our Individual Insurance lines of business. Your activities will include creating change request, documenting, and implementing change request for our core systems while working closely with business and technology colleagues who collaborate with agility.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you’ll do:
• Create change request in ServiceNow and coordinate the implementation of change request. • Work closely with product owners, business partners and platform gurus to promote changes to production. • Investigate and solve production problems with minimal to no guidance • Create Zaps and zap request to fix production issues.
What you’ll bring:
• A strong technical background with at least 1-3 years of experience in: • Cobol (Micro Focus Cobol would be an asset) • Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL • Ingenium (1 to 3 years) • To be highly motivated team player who is a strong individual contributor • A laser-focus on achieving outcomes through regular releases that is easy to maintain • Ability to be On-call to support P1 and P2 production incidents. • To continually improve delivery and release practices, process for production support. • Effective verbal and written communications, with an ability to effectively convey information, concepts, and ideas to others • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
