As Sales Leader EMEA North you are the driving force behind IML’s commercial success across a diverse, fast-growing multi-regional territory. You lead a team of approximately 7 sales professionals, including the business development team, spread across Benelux, France, UK/Ireland, DACH, the Nordics and Russia, while simultaneously managing a strategic key account. You report directly to the VP of Sales Global IML and play a pivotal role in executing the IML Strategy within your region. You combine a true entrepreneurial mindset with strong people-leadership capabilities, acting as the connector between market realities on the ground and IML’s ambitions at the global level. You bring structure and sustainability to your sales approach, and your open, transparent communication style builds lasting trust – internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Regional Leadership • Develop and own a structured, sustainable commercial strategy for the North region, fully aligned with the IML Strategy. • Maintain a helicopter view across your territory, identifying market trends, growth opportunities and competitive dynamics. • Translate the global strategy into concrete regional action plans and ensure consistent, effective execution. • Drive further build-out of sales activities across all markets in your region, with a focus on long-term, profitable growth.
People Management • Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 5 sales professionals, providing clear direction and inspiring performance. • Act as a role model: energise your team, set the right priorities and foster a culture of accountability and ambition. • Manage remote team members effectively, ensuring alignment, motivation and development regardless of geography. • Conduct regular performance reviews and support individual growth plans within the team.
Key Account Management • Take direct commercial responsibility for a designated key account, strengthening the relationship and maximising revenue potential. • Serve as a trusted partner to the client, understanding their needs and positioning IML’s innovative, high-quality product range as the preferred solution. • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery, high customer satisfaction and contract retention.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration • Build and maintain solid internal relationships across IML’s global organisation. • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, operations and finance to align priorities and ensure go-to-market excellence. • Represent your region within the global sales leadership team, contributing market insights and best practices.
Business Development & Entrepreneurship • Accountable for the overall EMEA leadership over the business development team + responsible for translating the EMEA market needs/opportunities into innovative and sustainable solutions in collaboration with our R&D, Marketing and Ops team. • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and new markets in your territory. • Leverage IML’s innovative and high-quality product portfolio to open new doors and grow market share. • Anticipate market changes and adapt the regional strategy accordingly, always keeping a forward-looking perspective.
Your Profile
Experience & Education • A higher (bachelor or master level) education, preferably in a commercial, business or related field. • Significant experience in a senior commercial management role within a similar or adjacent industry. • Demonstrated track record in building and executing commercial strategies at an organisational level. • Proven experience in managing and developing (remote) sales teams. • Experience with multi-country or multi-regional territories is a strong asset.
