Newrest in Iceland is looking for ambitious Production Line Supervisors.
A Production Line Supervisors is responsible for the effective delivery of prepared items from the facility, ready for delivery, while ensuring the proper functioning of automated lines.
Their duties include supervising and guiding employees in production areas during a scheduled shift, as well as operating, monitoring, and optimizing production lines. Supervisors work closely with Team Leaders to ensure that production is on time, efficient, and performed in a safe way.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise effective delivery of prepared items from the facility, ready for delivery, while ensuring the performance and reliability of production lines.
- Supervising and guiding employees in the automated production areas during scheduled shifts, while also preparing, launching, and monitoring automated lines.
- Supervisors work closely with Team Leaders in each of these areas to ensure that production is on time, meets quality standards, and is produced in a safe and efficient way.
- You will promote a collaborative, client-focused, quality and result-oriented approach, while driving value and performance from both teams and production equipment, with constant attention to operational and strategic goals.
- As a leader, you will mentor, train, and empower production staff, while also ensuring the proper functioning, performance, and continuous improvement of production lines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and strong service mentality
- Minimum age requirement 20 years old
- Strong organizational and supervision skills
- Technical knowledge of industrial or automated production lines
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to work under pressure
- Initiative and desire to work for improvement
- Clean criminal record
- Fully competent in MS Office
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-centred approach to service delivery
- Good team working skills
- Sign and adhere to Company Code of Conduct
Tasks:
- Supervise employees
- Plan, schedule, and steer each shift
- Prepare, start, and monitor production and automated lines
- Ensure proper setup and functioning of lines equipment
- Intervene in case of line stoppages or technical issues
- Ensure quality and service are up to standard (product, presentation, quantity)
- Ensure on time performance targets are met
- Control compliance with technical sheets and client requirements
- Ensure availability of materials and consumables for line operations
- Monitor productivity of the line
- Manage waste and ensure accurate reporting
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Other ad hoc projects
- Coordinate with other departments such as Winrest, Dishwash, Dispatch, Supply, and Pick'n Pack
- Guarantee smooth communication between operational and technical activities
- Any other reasonable task that may be required by management
