About the opportunity
We're looking for a Dispatcher to join our Transport team in Mt Wellington.
This is a permanent full-time night-shift position working approx. 60 hours per week, Sundays to Friday shifts from 9pm to 5:30am.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Transport planning & compliance: Manage customer bookings, schedule and coordinate drivers, monitor fleet movements, and ensure on-time deliveries
Customer service & communication: Provide clear, professional communication and customer service to internal teams and external customers; making sure drivers receive clear instructions and responding to all emails and calls in a timely manner
Operational administration & reporting: Capture customer bookings and requests in transport system, oversee receipting, dispatch of stock, complete shift reports, prepare run sheets, ensure drivers have necessary documentation
About you:
We want to talk with candidates who have a strong administration and operations background. You will bring:
A strong administration background in an operational environment
If you have dispatch experience within a transport/logistics environment that would be a bonus too!
Attention to detail, able to multi-task, problem solve, demonstrate strong decision making, and work well under pressure
Clear and professional communication skills - both written and verbal – with strong customer service focus and a positive, team player attitude
A strong focus on Health & Safety including road safety
Ability to meet deadlines and follow process
