The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Law Graduate to launch their career in our high-performing Commercial Dispute Resolution practice in May or June 2026. You will work directly with clients ranging from SMEs to large corporate entities on a range of complex and commercially significant matters. The work is genuinely interesting and varied, and you will build broad expertise across multiple practice areas rather than being confined to a single niche. One day you might be advising on a high-stakes contract dispute, the next drafting submissions for a regulatory investigation, and then moving on to consumer law claims, leasing disputes, intellectual property litigation, or franchising matters. This breadth of exposure means you'll develop a versatile skill set and deep commercial understanding that sets you apart.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working in the Disputes team and under the supervision of our Practice Leader and Senior Lawyers, you’ll be communicating with clients and taking care of matters from your first month! Once you're up to speed, a typical day for may include (among other things):

• Drafting a variety of legal documents, including court pleadings, submissions, correspondence, settlement deeds and advice letters.
• Conducting legal research across diverse practice areas such as contract disputes, regulatory investigations, consumer law, leasing, intellectual property and franchising matters.
• Reviewing and analysing evidence, contracts and other materials to identify key issues and commercial risks.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified with strong academics: You are a recent law graduate with strong grades and are either already admitted as a Lawyer in NSW, or will be admitted over the coming months.
• Ready for full-time work: You will available to work full time from May 2026, and are excited to work in our Surry Hills office full time during induction, then at least 3 days per week.
• Wants to do things differently and isn’t the average law graduate: You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are keen to grow as a lawyer in an innovative, tech-driven NewLaw environment.
• Passionate about the client experience: You are focused on your clients and you’re dedicated to creating experiences that exceed client expectations.
• Personable, empathetic and resilient: You are friendly, warm and professional. You celebrate the ups and push through and learn from the downs.
• Cool and calm under pressure: You are an organised and efficient worker, and can effectively manage competing priorities.
