Role Purpose
- Responsible for supervising and controlling the whole Dyeing & Finishing production process.

- Ensure that production quality, quantity and performance are met company objectives and comply with Standard Operation Procedure.
Main Duties
1. To supervise Dyeing & Finishing operations and processes of bulk production through the effective management and coordination of each function within Dyeing & Finishing process flow.
- Ensure optimum order availability for each dyeing machine and maintain minimum WIP (work in process) stock.
- Manage Dyeing & Finishing workers to produce efficiently within shade tolerance and within service lead times.
- Monitor and report daily performance relating to productivity and quality.
- Communicate effectively on dyeing process and performance improvement issues with related person.
2. To monitor performance against Dyeing & Finishing KPIs and implement actions leading to performance improvement.
- Ensure optimal allocation of trained resources to achieve productivity and KPI targets.
- Continually drive productivity and efficiency improvement in detail of Dyeing & Finishing operations (as measured by all key performance indicators such as Right First Time (RFT), Colour Quality (CQ), Lot per Machine per Day (LpMpD), machine utilization and efficiency) through careful review and analysis of these performance indicators.
- Monitor, analyse and report on shift and daily RFT, CQ and LpMpD and work with all Dyeing & Finishing team to ensure that the highest levels of performance achieved.
- In conjunction with Quality Department, receive and investigate all internal department complaints and recommend/take corrective action as appropriate.
3. To perform Wrong First Time (WFT) analysis for maintaining good quality product being produced by entire team.
- To check and recover dyeing machine performance.
- To check and drive operator compliance to the SOP.
- To check and maintain Dyeing & Finishing facilities are working well as expected
4. To ensure all Dyeing & Finishing operators are fully trained (and cross-trained) to meet the requirements of their roles and can perform their tasks in accordance with all relevant SOPs and safety requirements
- Develop and maintain Dyeing & Finishing SOPs and ensure all Dyeing & Finishing operations fully comply with SOPs.
- Streamline Dyeing & Finishing operations by constantly monitoring work practices, work flows and processes and take remedial action to streamline operations as necessary.
- Coordinate and deliver all cross-training within the team to provide greater flexibility in the allocation of resources and to deliver productivity improvements.
- Achieve and sustain a high level of safety awareness and compliance among Dyeing & Finishing team by constantly monitoring compliance with Health and Safety SOP and machinery operation SOPs, and taking steps to eliminate all risk factors and potential hazards. Continually promote the principles of 5S housekeeping.
5. When in charge as Supervisor floater:
- Support checking of machine volume calibration.
- Monitoring and controlling dyeing method profile in sedomaster.
- Lead project to improve Dyeing & Finishing performance through kaizen and lean sixsigma project.
6. ISO 14001;OHSAS 18001, Environment & Health & Safety
- Implementation of procedures Manufacturing, Work instruction related safety concern.
- Maintain, care and cleanliness of equipment supporting operations.
- Actively participate in program Occupational health & Safety, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.
- Ensure all WI in Dyeing & Finishing is equipped with safety checkpoint.
- Loss prevention:
- Use safety equipment ( PPE ) appropriate .
- Safety Shop Floor Meeting Attend daily and weekly.
- Implement and maintain the cleanliness (5S) of the activities within the scope of Dyeing & Finishing Department.
- Active help in the investigation of workplace safety activities.
- Report any safety or environmental incident (Accident, near miss, unsafe action & unsafe condition)
7. Support SFHR program to improve safety awareness in Dyeing & Finishing area.
8. Environmental Aspect
- Overseeing all activity within their team complies with the environmental policy and reviewing reports for further improvement.
Authorities
- Approve shift-level resource allocation and scheduling adjustments.
- Approve WFT analysis results and machine recovery actions.
- Authorize operator training and cross-training plans.
- Stop any unsafe activity and escalate major compliance breaches.
General Qualifications
- GOOD communication skills, proficiency in English

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications in dyeing, chemical processing, or quality management are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Dyeing & Finishing operations within a textile or thread manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in dyeing processes, shade matching, chemical usage, and batch control.
- Experience working in a multinational or structured manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Exposure to quality systems, audits, and customer requirements is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of dyeing processes, chemicals, and textile materials.
- Good understanding of production planning, cost control, and process optimization.
- Ability to support the Dyeing & Finishing Manager in daily operations, problem-solving, and team supervision.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Familiar with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement capability.
- Proficient in use of CF2000E (Colour Physic level 2), Good colour vision (Score <16) as measured by Munsell 100 hue colour vision test, High level of attention to detail
- Able to communicate in English (written and spoken) in a professional environment.
