The Finance Business Partner is primarily responsible for supporting business functions with financial analyses to drive impact & growth. As part of the FP&A function you will partner with all levels of management – C-suite to executive committee to department heads and project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver the highest level of financial and commercial awareness, through best-in class insight & analysis, business intelligence and management information/reporting. You will be part of the monthly board reporting process, streamlining the preparation of data, and building out an insightful suite of KPIs.
- Working with functional leaders to assist in producing robust business plans, providing full financial support to all functions – fully engaging in commercial business issues and decisions before providing finance sign-off.
- Investigate the financial performance of segments/regions and produce a summary of emerging trends and recommended next steps.
- Partner with the Board/ExCom to deliver cross functional strategic projects, training, and process improvement.
- Work with the country/department management to understand department/country performance and work with them on strategies to improve performance and mitigate any operational risks.
- Preparation of standard & Adhoc management reports for business unit heads.
- Provides standardized and insightful level of analyses to drive business towards achieving strategic goals.
- Provide professional expertise and direction to other team members and act as the focal point for business units by participating in key project initiatives.
- Partners with reporting clients to understand their strategic goals, operational context, and activities to explain results with strategic business insights and facts.
- Provide support to business units across the Group, including product understanding, validation, problem/query resolution and coordination of communications.
- Continues to find ways to streamline processes, drive higher efficiencies & identify risks and opportunities at a macro and micro level.
- Uses storytelling principles to convey impactful messages.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant analytical experience.
- Professional qualification such as CA or CFA.
- Significant analytical skillset and quantitative abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships.
- Ability to succinctly communicate issues and have a solution-oriented mindset.
- Quick to adapt to evolving reporting requirements, processes, and structures.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal and business partnership skills on all levels (Board & C-Suite to department heads and project managers).
- Ability to connect high level strategic goals to execution and KPI tracking.
- High level of commercial acumen to drive impact & key decision making.
- Advanced financial modelling skills to build dynamic analyses & forecast models.
