Gartner’s Consulting business provides independent support for International organisations across the Defence industry and National Governments. Providing 'right practice' data driven support to decision making, informed by world class research across a range of current and emerging digital challenges, our teams aim to save taxpayers money and improve citizen outcomes for national, regional and local government.
We are currently looking for highly talented Defence professional, ideally with consulting experience (at Senior Manager, Associate Director, Director, Managing Director, Engagement Manager, Associate Partner, Client Director, or Principal level), with a strong understanding of technology and strategic transformation, to join our world-class Strategy Consulting team helping Defence and Public Sector clients.
What you will do:
The Managing Partner, Defense will provide technology foresight, market intelligence to senior leaders within Defense and military organisations. Strategic Planning for the CEO, CDO, CFO, CIO and senior IT executives ranging from roadmaps and operating models, to organisational design and governance, enabling data driven decision making, innovation and IT cost optimisation
What you need:
We seek candidates with the ability to advise at the highest level, experience we’re looking for:
Technology-driven transformational change experience for the defence/military industry (Försvarsmakten, FMV, FRA, Fortifikationsverket, Swedish Armed Forces) or experience working within a military-industrial organisation;
An understanding of consulting and strategy principles/frameworks (ideally gained from a consulting firm) would be advantageous;
MBA qualification desirable;
An excellent understanding of the trends within the defence industry and the wider Public Sector
Experience in one or more of:
CIO Advisory Services
Value Realisation and Programme assurance
End-to-end Technology-led Transformation
Applications modernization
Cloud transformation
Sourcing and Contract Optimisation
Ideally experienced in leading IT strategy engagements, and contributing to sales pursuits and proposal writing
