The Procurement Contract Oversight and Cost Recovery Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing tools that detect vendor non-compliance and financial leakage within contracted spend across the organization. This role focuses on designing robust analytics solutions to systematically review contract data, invoices, and pricing systems to identify instances where spending deviates from established contractual terms.
As a newly created role, this analyst will be instrumental in shaping processes that strengthen oversight and promote financial efficiency throughout the organization. The position leverages data-driven tools to uncover cost-saving opportunities and propose appropriate corrective actions, partnering closely with Finance, Technology, and external vendors to deliver scalable oversight capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analytics tools to systematically detect deviations from contracted pricing, terms, and vendor commitments
- Build and formalize contract oversight processes, establishing governance standards and repeatable review frameworks
- Conduct structured reviews of contract data, invoices, and pricing systems to identify financial leakage and non-compliance
- Partner with business stakeholders and vendors to investigate, communicate, and reclaim identified areas of overspend
- Collaborate with Technology teams to integrate relevant data sources and expand analytical capabilities
- Review contract structures to assess compliance risk and identify opportunities for stronger financial controls
- Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and business partners
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Technology, Data & Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Data & Analytics, Audit, or Software Engineering
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to build and maintain analytical queries
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization
- Advanced Excel and Power Query skills
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex contractual and transactional data
- Proven analytical capability with the ability to translate business requirements into effective oversight tools
- Ability to compile, analyze, and draw conclusions from large volumes of data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Oracle experience a plus
