The Organizational Development and Learning Manager supports the organizational development, talent engagement and retention programs to ensure that CHS meets its strategic talent goals and operational objectives. With a focus on planning, design, development and execution of learning and development programs, tools and solutions, the incumbent provides support in talent management, team member engagement, leadership development, and organizational development to enhance CHS’s overall effectiveness, culture and capability. Overall, the Organizational Development and Learning Manager contributes to CHS’s strategic objective of reimagining what HOME means by creating spaces where every child and family is supported and has access to the opportunities they need to pursue their dreams.

Primary Job Functions
1. Act as an ambassador and supports the development of a comprehensive Organizational Development and Talent Engagement (ODE) program that enhances the overall effectiveness, culture, and performance of the organization.
Professional Development & Learning (70%)
- Facilitate the design and delivery of professional growth and leadership development programs, including the development of support tools to help drive supervisor effectiveness.
- Partner in the design, development and delivery of team member professional development and skill enhancement programs to drive professional growth and enhance team member skills and competencies.
- Assist with the evaluation of learning solutions by continuously monitoring and soliciting feedback on all programs and materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness, while driving enhancements for improved adoption.
- Align training and facilitation efforts to the standards and framework defined for all learning and training materials.
- Maintain and update materials (job aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), course outlines, presentation materials, handouts, communications, participant guides, leader guides, etc.) to provide a seamless experience for learners.
- Create communications on behalf of team to inform and engage, initiate and follow up on survey completions, and sustain engagement and utilization of best practices and tools associated with each program or initiative.
- Support the Sr. Director with the design and development of scalable solutions that align to our culture and strategy, assisting in defining scope and requirements, as well as in developing and maintaining project plans.
Organizational Development (30%)
- Support Sr. Director with needs assessment and delivering customized programs to increase leadership effectiveness.
- Facilitate leadership classroom and remote learning sessions to develop leadership skills and competencies.
- Support organizational design and effectiveness, culture and talent capabilities through the delivery of various OD interventions (teambuilding, performance management, mentoring, engagement surveys and action planning, etc.).
- Support the development and implementation of internal communication plans, including assessment material, summary reports, action planning toolkits, etc.
- Assist the Sr. Director in developing measures to define progress and success; establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators; maintain regular Talent reports
- Conduct assessments, surveys, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and development
- Prepare reports, summaries and other materials for meetings and other project reviews.
2. Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment.
- Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on talent and learning-related issues and trends.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
- Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures, and other obligations.
- Assist with training other team members and providing back up when necessary.
- Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
- Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond Values in the performance of all job duties.
Job Qualifications
Education, Licenses & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business (with an emphasis on Human Resources), Education, HR/OD, Instructional Systems, or related field from an accredited university, required.
- Master's degree, strongly preferred.
- Certification in Human Resources or Learning (SHRM-CP, PHR, CLP, etc.) strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Three years of experience in HR/OD, learning or development, preferably in nonprofit or social services, required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in curriculum development, delivery and measurement.
- Work experience in managing projects and programs.

Schedule Expectations
The incumbent will work a standard scheduled week, which may include weekends, holidays and evenings. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, incumbent will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours.
Travel will be on an as-needed basis to conduct business-related activities; may be required to work at a CHS location, when necessary. In the event of a declared disaster or emergency, this Business Operations Continuity position will be required to carry out assigned duties to provide CHS with the capability and capacity to operate its business functions.
