Council is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated team member to join us in the position of Transfer Station Operator at our Casterton and Merino sites.
The days of work are Wednesday to Sunday, alternate weeks (rostered on a one week on, one week off basis).
This role provides a great work–life balance while contributing to essential community services.
In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in maintaining safe, efficient and environmentally responsible waste management facilities for our community.

What you need to Succeed
To be successful you will be required
• Operate the Transfer station site in a safe and efficient manner. • Maintain Council assets to a high standard, ensuring all users can access facilities safely at all times. • Bring experience in transfer station operations (desirable but not essential) • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, along with experience using computers and cash handling. • A current driver’s licence is essential for this position.
