Associate IT Engineer

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day IT operations, including desktop setups, software installations, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ensure secure and efficient IT systems, working closely with security protocols.
• Set up and configure firewall systems to protect network integrity.
• Assist in network security assessments and troubleshooting issues related to security breaches.
• Perform backup and recovery tasks for both local and cloud-based systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues with cloud environments, ensuring uptime and availability.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure proper maintenance of hardware and software inventory.
• Assist in maintaining user accounts and permissions across systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Related Field  
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, IP addressing).
• Familiarity with desktop support and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) and network security protocols.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (AWS SysOps course or equivalent is a plus).
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud services (AWS, Azure).

• AWS SysOps certification or equivalent training.
• Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot IT issues effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting is a plus.

• Collaborative office setting with responsibilities that may require occasional on-site support

• Occasional additional hours may be required to resolve critical IT issues.
