We’re looking for a Workstream Coordinator to join our Pūnaha Tautoko Pūkenga (formerly known as the Technology Systems Investment Programme), a major, greenfield transformation introducing multiple new technology platforms for our regions water provider.
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2027 with remuneration between $64,306 to $90,785 including KiwiSaver, appointment remuneration is dependent on experience.
The opportunity
As Workstream Coordinator you’ll provide delivery and governance support to Pūnaha Tautoko Pūkenga, work closely with the PMO Lead and Delivery Lead to coordinate the planning, coordination and execution of workstream activities, maintain programme controls and ensure effective reporting and stakeholder communication.
In this role you will:
Oversee and maintain the workstream deliver plan, including milestones, deliverables and dependencies
Coordinate inputs from vendors, SMEs and internal teams to ensure workstream outputs are delivered to agree timelines and quality standards
Monitor and manage cross-dependencies between workstreams, escalating conflicts or risks
Maintain the workstream action and decision register, tracking agreed actions
Manage and maintain workstream documentation and artefacts within SharePoint
Maintain the workstream RAID register and ensure updates are reflected in programme-level reporting.
About you
To be successful in this role you will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and bring:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience assisting in the management of a large-scale programme
Experience supporting complex projects and/or large programmes with a wide spectrum of workstreams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams
Skills in supporting financial management, analysis, forecasting and reconciliation
An ability to communicate effectively
Experience in Agile ways of working, and using JIRA, MS Project, Confluence and Miro Boards

Wellington Water Ltd is the professional water services provider across Greater Wellington and South Wairarapa. Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. We’re a multi-council owned entity, tasked to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to our communities. From 1 July 2026, a new chapter in water services begins. Tiaki Wai will take over responsibility for providing Three Waters Services to approximately 433,000 residents across the Wellington metro regions.
