About the role
As a
Technical Business Analyst, you will work closely with Project Managers, Portfolio leadership, business stakeholders and technical teams to define, document and deliver business and technical requirements across the full project lifecycle.
This role is strongly focused on
regulatory‑driven initiatives within superannuation, requiring deep industry knowledge and the ability to translate legislative and prudential obligations into clear, traceable and testable requirements. You will also contribute at a portfolio level, supporting continuous improvement, governance, and uplift of analyst practices across squads and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities
Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Leading the definition of business problems and translating regulatory requirements into high‑quality business and technical documentation
- Eliciting, validating and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, screen flows and use cases with strong end‑to‑end traceability
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops and forums to gather requirements, resolve ambiguity and obtain senior leadership and sponsor sign‑off
- Analysing impacted systems, processes and customer journeys to identify change impacts and improvement opportunities
- Supporting delivery through backlog analysis, requirement prioritisation, functional testing, defect management and UAT readiness
- Partnering with Project Managers and Test Leads to ensure scope, risks, issues and dependencies are effectively managed
- Contributing to portfolio‑level reporting, dashboards and continuous improvement initiatives across Analyst practices and ways of working
- Acting as a senior SME and role model, coaching analysts and supporting centres of excellence across the division
About you
You are an experienced Technical Business Analyst who brings:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst
- Strong, hands‑on experience in the superannuation industry, with deep understanding of regulatory and compliance‑driven delivery
- Proven experience delivering regulatory‑driven projects, including traceability from legislation through to build and testing
- Solid grounding in project delivery fundamentals and Agile delivery practices
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint and Microsoft reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across business, technology and senior leadership groups
- Excellent documentation, analytical, communication and facilitation skills
- Exposure to functional testing, UAT support and business readiness activities (highly regarded)
