JOB BRIEF: The Doorperson is responsible for controlling the traffic flow at the front desk, and serves residents of apartment building by performing the following duties:
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, HUD regulations and local ordinances pertaining to apartments.
- Required to attend periodic Fair Housing seminars.
- Monitors the incoming and outgoing visitors and residents.
- Keep accurate and adequate logs per the policy and procedure.
- Monitors the building to ensure no visitor is roaming the building.
- Documents all incidents in writing on the Incident Report Sheet and notify the manager of any illegal or suspicious activity.
- If a situation warrants, contacts the appropriate emergency services by dialing 911.
- Assists in the event the elevator breaks down to calm individuals effected and report to emergency services.
- Remains in view of fire panel & monitors panel.
- Performs any additional duties or tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Scheduling:
Based upon business necessity. Schedules are posted in advance. Additionally, if a holiday falls on a day that is part of the employee’s normal schedule, the employee will still be scheduled for their shift and will work the holiday. During times of emergencies, heavy work-loads or other company needs, there will be times when overtime is required.
HOURS: Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Saturday, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Sunday, 4 p.m. to 12 am.

Requirements
- Must be able to take verbal or written direction & work well without supervision.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group. situations to residents and other employees of the organization.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to speak more than one language preferred.
