Duratec’s SA Office is located at Adelaide Airport though the role is predominantly site-based at Edinburgh precinct with flexibility to work from head office as required
Recent Tertiary qualifications in Engineering required
THE ROLE
Be responsible for assisting the project team in all day-to-day operations and running of various work scopes across a growing portfolio of Defence projects.
As a Graduate Engineer, you will be mentored and supported in the following:
Onsite project management, including planning, resource allocation, site administration and client invoicing
Preparation and submission of progress claims
Handover and Takeover process (quality management) in Defence projects
Job costing where required for works
Programming and scheduling works
Onsite supplier and sub-contractor management
Quantity take offs
Prepare tender submissions
Onsite Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) activities associated with project works
Bid writing & Estimating
Responsibilities
Provide support to projects from inception to close out, focusing on quality development, management and implementation
Support project teams with technical input by consulting construction code, project specifications, Australian standards and other applicable documents
Coordinate project meetings, data entry, minute-taking, and support with compilation of management reports
Provide reporting assistance by collating reports from various systems, tracking of project reports and upcoming deadlines
Liaise with key stakeholders including Client, subcontractors and vendors/suppliers to meet submission deadlines
ABOUT YOU
Recent Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
Have sound verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think ‘outside the box’
Eligibility to obtain a DCAC pass
