Exciting Opportunity at University High School in San Francisco, California
San Francisco University High School (UHS) is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach to join our coaching staff for the 2025 season. If you’re an enthusiastic coach who values collaboration, mentorship, and teaching—and who shares our core values of Inquiry, Care, Integrity, Agency, and Interconnection—we’d love to hear from you.
At UHS, athletics are a vital part of a student’s education. We believe that participation in sports helps students grow physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Our coaches aim to develop not only skilled competitors but also resilient, thoughtful, and community-minded young adults. Through athletics, students learn teamwork, leadership, discipline, and persistence—skills that serve them well beyond the playing field.
Founded in 1975, UHS is a coeducational independent day school located in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood. The school serves 518 students in grades 9–12 and is guided by its mission: to challenge each individual to live a life of integrity, inquiry, and purpose larger than the self.
The Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach supports the Program Head and Varsity Head Coach in all aspects of leading a competitive, values-driven soccer program. This role plays an important part in developing players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall growth within a positive and inclusive team culture.
We’re looking for someone who loves the game, connects well with student-athletes, and contributes to a coaching staff that models teamwork, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
