About the role
Imagine working at the core of next-generation aerospace systems, where your code directly powers mission-critical performance. We are looking for a highly capable Software Engineer with deep expertise in embedded systems and Linux real-time environments to drive the development, implementation, and validation of robust software solutions for safety-critical applications. You will design and maintain embedded software architectures, implement real-time scheduling and inter-process communication mechanisms, and ensure every layer of software is reliable, deterministic, and aligned with strict system requirements. Working side by side with hardware and systems engineering teams, you will play a key role in seamless hardware-software integration and the evolution of advanced aerospace technologies. This role is built for someone with sharp analytical thinking, hands-on experience in embedded Linux real-time systems, and the ambition to push the software behind next-generation missile systems forward.
At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. What You’ll Need
Who You Are
You thrive in environments where complexity is the norm and precision is everything. You are naturally curious, diving deep into systems to understand not just how they work, but how they can work better. When faced with ambiguity, you bring structure. When others see constraints, you see engineering challenges worth solving. You take ownership without waiting to be asked, and you are comfortable making decisions in high-stakes, safety-critical contexts. You enjoy working close to the hardware, debugging at the lowest levels, and turning theoretical performance into real, deterministic behavior.
