Berkeley College, a career-focused institution of higher education, with locations in NY, NJ and Online, is seeking a full-time Concierge/ Security Officer at our New York city Camupus. Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Public Safety and Emergency Management, the Concierge/ Security Officer will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, and quality assurance of uniformed security services for Berkeley College.
The Concierge/ Security Officers assigned to one or more posts at Berkeley College Campus. Acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed.
The Concierge / Security Officer is responsible for the enforcement of the college's visitor policy. A positive attitude and professional appearance are key components to this position. Concierge / Security Officers monitor all campus cameras and campus entrances and egresses. Respond to campus emergencies and document incidents.
Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Salary Range: $42,000 - $44,500

Educational Requirements
High school or GED Diploma.
Training and/or Experience
Customer relations, computer and CCTV, and fire marshal experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
A knowledge of Fire Alarms, Life and Safety and other relevant Certifications.
