Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Senior Audit Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering audits within the Internal Audit team, demonstrating internal audit technical expertise, from audit planning, completing fieldwork through to communicating outcomes. Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll provide insightful audit recommendations that both effectively address business risks and provide value to our stakeholders.
What are the key day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
Leading teams on assignments including coaching, guidance, daily management of work.
Delivering quality audits that are process compliant, factoring the wider business environment.
Prepare clear, high quality internal audit reports that articulate findings, root causes and practical recommendations.
Present audit outcomes and insights to key stakeholders, providing insightful audit recommendations.
Building relationships with business stakeholders in order to communicate effectively.
Developing assurance strategies that support delivery of business objectives, including the use of analytics, appropriate objectives that align with business priorities and level of maturity.
Participating in Audit function continuous improvement programme and leading identified activities.
What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
Minimum of 3 years’ internal audit experience is essential, demonstrating experience leading end to end delivery of internal audits.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex processes and controls, using sound professional judgement.
Proven stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to deliver clear, impactful audit insights.
You can work autonomously with strong accountability of deliverables, while actively collaborating with the wider team and demonstrating leadership on assignments you have ownership of.
Flexible and comfortable working in an agile, fast paced and changing environment.
