As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the accounting management of revenue recognition and collections for global licensing, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 for the wholesale and franchise business.
About the Job
Manage routine sales incentives and discount accruals, performing cut-off, pricing, and claims review analyses.
Prepare and analytically review complex wholesale revenue recognition areas, including gross margin analysis, revenue cut-off, trade discounts, incentives, and pricing.
Review balance sheet reconciliations to certify their integrity and accuracy.
Investigate and resolve complex transaction issues, as well as reconcile discrepancies in accruals or balances.
Collaborate with finance and commercial operations teams to maintain a strong control environment.
Prepare balance sheet fluctuation commentary for monthly and quarterly closings.
Analyze proposals for complex commercial transactions to ensure proper application of accounting standards and communicate findings to business teams.
Partner with global commercial finance and sales teams to provide reporting, insights, and ongoing support.
Ensure compliance with SOX and revenue recognition policies and procedures.
Support internal and external audit deliverables.
Participate in special projects led by commercial, internal control, or technology teams, and lead issue resolution efforts between sales and finance.
Process Improvement and Automation
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accrual and journal entry (JE) processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance data quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of financial information.
Reporting and Metrics
Monthly, quarterly, and annual close reporting and analysis.
Retrospective (“Look Back”) and lead time analyses.
Establish team objectives and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are met.
About You
Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of accounting procedures, principles, and GAAP requirements.
Experience working in multinational organizations, particularly managing compliance of data across countries.
Solid knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field required; master’s degree in finance/accounting (e.g., MSc, MBA) and/or a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA) preferred.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
This is a hybrid position based in our Warsaw office. You will be expected to be in the office three days per week, though time in office may vary depending on business needs.
The expected salary range for this role is PLN 154,000–205,300 gross per year. The amount an employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and our needs. Salary ranges may vary by location and currency. Where roles are advertised across multiple locations, local ranges will apply.
