We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our growing team in Sweden. In this role, you will be a key contributor to ServiceNow implementation projects, continuous agile development cycles, or DevOps-based delivery engagements. You will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Technical Architects, and customer stakeholders to turn requirements into high-quality, scalable ServiceNow solutions.
This is a hands-on development role where you will configure, customize, build, and challenge technical requirements to ensure optimal platform outcomes. Our ideal candidate combines deep ServiceNow technical expertise with a proactive, quality-driven mindset.
Platform Development & Configuration
Develop, extend, and configure ServiceNow platform components, including:
- Workflows, business rules, UI components
- Portals, Workspaces, Notifications, Virtual Agent
- Code/low-code/no-code app development
- Security and intelligence features
- Implement Service Catalog items, automated workflows, and approval logic
Custom Development & Scripting
- Write, test, and debug server-side and client-side JavaScript
- Create and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, etc.
Integrations
- Design and develop integrations using APIs, web services, middleware, and secure data exchange patterns
- Configure data mappings and ensure proper security controls
Data & CMDB Management
- Build or extend data models, tables, schema, and relationships
- Manage CMDB and other platform data structures
- Handle data import/export and transform logic
Quality & Delivery
- Work in agile delivery frameworks
- Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing
- Participate in deployment activities
- Challenge and refine suboptimal requirements or designs in collaboration with architects and customers
- Produce technical documentation for handover and support
- Hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer in implementation or DevOps environments
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules, platform components, and best practices
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting frameworks
- Experience with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, web services, authentication protocols)
- Understanding of Workflow/Flow Designer, UI Builder/Portals, and CMDB concepts
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to challenge requirements to drive better solutions
Bonus Skills
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS modules)
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, or other ServiceNow products
