We’re seeking expressions of interest for experienced Paving Operators to join our team in Ōtepoti/Dunedin.

This is an opportunity to be involved in various sized projects across the region, ensuring we safely deliver quality outcomes on time, on budget, and to a standard the community can be proud of.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

You will be operating paving machinery to apply asphalt and other materials to roadways and other surfaces. All aspects of the role are guided by, and aligned with, our company values.

While the role is based in Dunedin the teams operate throughout the Otago region.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

• Operate paving machinery, including asphalt pavers, rollers, excavators and other related equipment.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain paving equipment to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.
• Control and monitor the paving process to ensure even application of asphalt and other materials
• Attend and take part in pre-start meetings, understanding hazards and H&S risks
• Conduct general labourer duties when required to ensure timely completion per project timeframes

• A high level of machine operator experience, especially on asphalt paving gear
• A minimum of a current Class 1 full driver licence and WTR endorsement is essential
• A practical, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety, quality work, and caring for the environment
• Excellent communication skills
