

Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care, Faculty of Dentistry (Ref: 536180) (to commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2026, with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Dentistry or a relevant discipline. He/she should have a good command of both written and spoken English, data analysis skills, and academic writing abilities. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, close attention to detail, and effective collaboration and teamwork skills. He/she should also be proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience in research and taking dental images are preferred.
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining research experience and contributing to ongoing projects in dental radiology and digital dentistry. The appointee will assist the investigator in liaising with related parties, compiling information and submitting application for IRB approval ; installing and applying computer software programs to create a protocol; identifying, collecting and organizing data from various patient servers; and performing other duties as assigned by the principal investigator. Experience with IRB applications, Microsoft Excel, 3DSlicer, and taking dental images (such as taking Cone-Beam Computed Tomography images for a research setting), is an advantage.
