JOB SUMMARY As the Chef de Partie, you will ensure exceptional culinary execution in line with Grouse Mountain’s standards while managing food and labour costs. You will lead your station’s team, upholding food-safe practices and consistent recipe execution. During the off-season, you will collaborate with the Executive Chef to support broader kitchen operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Ensure the smooth operation of the cookline • Supervision of a team of line cooks • Work with the Sous Chef to maintain labour & food costs within monthly targets • Responsible for maintaining standards of food quality in accordance with the Executive Chef • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Grouse Mountain food operations and ability to prep and execute food in these operations • Requisitioning all applicable products through the Provision Master • Ensuring appropriate levels of inventory and utilization • Ensuring prescribed levels of hygiene, order and cleanliness in kitchen and related areas as per provincial standards, Food Safe and Grouse Mountain guidelines • Monitoring kitchen equipment performance and reporting repair needs to the Executive Chef • Maintaining and inspiring professional conduct and etiquette • Other duties as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position is under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES • A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a high-volume culinary setting • Level 1 Food Safe certificate required • Ability to handle challenges of a kitchen environment • Excellent communication skills • Flexible work hours including evening closing shifts, weekends and holidays WORKING CONDITIONS Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.
