Overview
The Logistics Planning Assistant Manager oversees material control, operating standards, inventory management, and inbound/in-house logistics flow. This role involves planning and managing the logistics flow, processes, and operational efficiency of the production logistics site. Responsibilities include designing the on-site layout, preparing and purchasing required equipment, and calculating the necessary workforce.
Responsibilities

- Support to design logistics equipment (Rack, High-rack, special rack, cart, in-house package, and dolly)
- improve and maintain the IT systems used in logistics procedures, including the MES
- Design and planning all of workflow including Loading/unloading, Package waste, OS&D, feeding foolproof, and incoming inspection.
- Analyze man-hours and input equipment for the logistics plan
- Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and set up a contingency plan
- Manage and monitor metrics for Monthly/Weekly logistics reports (stock level, logistic cost, downtime, shortage)
- Managing Cost budget (Investment, Expense)
- Maintain updated logistics information (Logistics Master)
- Managing Supplier delivery Evaluation/Claim and improvement
- Managing Logistics Standard (Packaging, Shipping Label, Rack Label, Sign)
- Managing and maintenance logistics property (PIV, Cage, Rack, Charger)
- Managing and deciding Stock target level considering warehouse space with Purchasing team
- Coordinate comprehensive preparations for logistics changes related to new vehicle launches
- Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas (GBM system)
- Perform all other duties assigned

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience preferred
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in Just in Sequence Logistics field in the Automotive industry
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Comprehensive critical thinking skills across logistics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- SAP, (MM), MES experience desired
- Other tasks assigned

Working Conditions:
- Position hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm, plus overtime & weekends as needed (Subject to Change)
- Walking the production floor
- Occasional travel as needed
