Altea is not another big box gym. It is not a boutique studio. It is an integrated fitness and wellness destination, and the café is a genuine part of the member experience here.
The Café Team Lead is the person who keeps the counter running well when the Food & Beverage Supervisor is not on the floor. You serve, you lead, and you hold the standard across both. You know the difference between a café that functions and one that consistently delivers, and you care about which one yours is.
If you take pride in your craft, bring real energy to the people around you, and find satisfaction in a service that runs exactly the way it should, this role was built for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the Team on Shift. You set the pace, assign tasks, check work, and give feedback in the moment. When the Food & Beverage Supervisor is not on the floor, you are the standard.
- Serve with Precision. Every item prepared and delivered at the Altea standard, every order, every shift. Quality does not vary based on how busy it gets.
- Hold the Counter Standard. Cleanliness, organization, stock levels, and presentation are your responsibility throughout the shift. Not at the end. Throughout.
- Support the Team. You develop the Café Associates on shift through clear direction, real time feedback, and by showing them what excellent looks like.
- Communicate and Flag. Inventory levels, equipment concerns, member feedback. You surface what needs attention and close the loop with the Food & Beverage Supervisor.
WHO YOU ARE
You are not here to manage a blender and wait for direction. You are here because you take the work seriously and you make the people around you better at it.
- You lead by doing. Your team sees you holding the same standard you expect from them. That is how trust gets built and how the standard gets kept when no one is watching.
- You are warm and consistent. Members notice when the person behind the counter is genuinely glad to see them. You bring that energy to every shift, not just the busy ones.
- You are organized and proactive. You see what needs doing before it becomes a problem. Stock running low, a station that needs attention, a team member who needs direction. You act before you are asked.
- You follow through. When you say something will be done, it gets done. Your Food & Beverage Supervisor can count on you to run the shift properly and close the loop without being chased.
- You are proud of where you work. How you present yourself, how you serve, how you lead on shift reflects Altea. You hold that standard because you care about what you represent.
