We are seeking an experienced
Citrix and AD Operations Lead to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable access to applications and resources across hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
- Act as internal escalation point and technical lead with decision-making responsibility across Citrix and Active Directory domains
- Take ownership of technical decisions, working in a self-sufficient manner with minimal escalation
- Lead, mentor, and support Citrix and AD analysts (L2) and junior engineers
- Lead the deployment, configuration, optimisation, and operation of Citrix (cloud and legacy) and Active Directory (on-prem and Azure) environments
- Drive migration of legacy systems to modern cloud or hybrid platforms with minimal business disruption (Citrix and AD)
- Manage Citrix Cloud environments (Delivery Groups, Machine Catalogs, policies, VDA lifecycle) and Active Directory services including identity and access integrations
- Define, implement, and maintain monitoring for critical infrastructure components (e.g. performance, availability, MFA, SSO, Entra Connect, SIEM integrations)
- Provide L3 incident response and advanced troubleshooting for complex cross-domain issues
- Optimize system performance, user experience, and resource utilisation across platforms
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Oversee structured decommissioning of legacy/end-of-life systems
- Maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, configurations, runbooks)
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams for seamless service delivery
- Participate in governance, reporting, SLA tracking, and service reviews
- Manage vendors and third-party support providers
- Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation initiatives across the environment
Requirements
- Advanced expertise in Citrix Cloud (Delivery Groups, Machine Catalogs, policies, VDA lifecycle)
- Strong experience with legacy Citrix migration and hybrid/coexistence strategies
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD / Entra ID)
- Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning skills
- Proven ability to act as technical lead and escalation point
- Experience with monitoring and identity-related integrations (MFA, SSO, SIEM, Entra Connect)
- Experience in disaster recovery and high availability planning
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with limited oversight
