Audubon is currently seeking a Mechanic Helper/Oiler to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Mechanic Helper/Oiler will perform lubrication, servicing, and equipment like heavy/light machinery oiled to prevent breakdowns.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disassembles, repairs and/or replaced parts with equipment
- Using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools
- Performs preventive maintenance IAW manufactures recommendations
- Perform tests to ensure machinery is running smoothly and basic diagnostic tests, check performance of machinery
- Clean and lubricate machinery
- Will unload, inspect and move equipment into position using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
- Uses chain falls and come a-longs to move equipment / materials into place
- Basic housekeeping duties such as hosing floors, removing trash, and swiping floors
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Related trade school education is preferred.
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Three years' experience as a Mechanic.
- Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
- Construction safety practices.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
