The Socio-Economic Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Quadra’s socio-economic initiatives by cultivating strong, respectful relationships with Indigenous partners and supporting opportunities that deliver sustainable, shared value.
In collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, this position contributes to community engagement, partnership development, and agreement-related reporting, with travel to communities as needed.
Reporting to the Socio-Economic Development Manager, this role collaborates with Quadra’s Mining and Energy teams to promote and enhance the participation of Indigenous Peoples in the industries we serve through meaningful engagement, capacity building, and socio-economic development initiatives.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Socio-Economic Coordinator? • Manage administrative activities to ensure compliance with Quadra’s Indigenous commitments • Maintain and deepen existing Indigenous partnerships while supporting the development of new relationships • Conduct research and develop community profiles (“blueprinting”) to support mutually beneficial agreements aligned with business objectives • Represent Quadra in industry associations and government initiatives related to Indigenous relations • Plan, coordinate, and participate in project site visits, gathering input and feedback from Indigenous communities • Prepare and coordinate reports for Indigenous partners and customers in support of active agreements • Act as an ambassador for Indigenous relations by promoting diversity, inclusion, corporate responsibility, and cultural awareness • Support additional related activities as required
What are the qualifications needed to have success in this position? • Strong alignment with Quadra’s values: Integrity, Caring, Teamwork, Innovation, Professionalism, and Respect • Post-secondary education in law, social sciences, Indigenous studies, sustainability, public policy, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience • Proven experience working with Indigenous communities, including developing, implementing, and evaluating Indigenous strategies and programs • Solid understanding of Indigenous rights in Canada, including knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, treaties, and current issues • Familiarity with key frameworks and principles (e.g., United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Truth and Reconciliation, Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM)) • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Experience interpreting contracts is considered an asset • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is an asset • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset • Ability to travel up to 50% to Indigenous communities and project sites, primarily within Eastern Canada, with occasional travel to the U.S. as required (valid driver’s licence is required) • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, including participation in community events, partner meetings, and site visits At Quadra, we offer more than just an engaging culture and a collaborative, family-oriented, and supportive work environment—we also provide autonomy and flexibility. Compensation Information: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $52,600.00 to $78,515.00. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and benefits.
