Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Assistant
Finance Manager
with
6+ years of experience
in
finance and accounting, preferably within the IT/technology sector. The ideal
candidate will support financial operations, budgeting, compliance, and
strategic decision-making while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial
reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare
and analyze of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and
statements

Assist
in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Monitor
cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations
-
Oversee
day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations)
-
Ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements (FIRS, LIRS, etc.)
-
Ensure
compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and audit requirements
-
Oversee
account reconciliation and general ledger integrity
-
Coordinate
internal and external audits, and liaise with auditors
-
Supervise
junior finance staff and support capacity building
-
Participate
in financial planning, cost control, and pricing strategy development
-
Support
project-based accounting and grant/contract compliance
-
Review
and improve financial systems, processes, and controls
-
Use
financial data to support strategic decision-making and risk analysis
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
-
B.Sc./HND
in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
ACA,
ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (in progress or completed)
-
Minimum
of 6 years relevant experience
with 2+ years in a
supervisory role, preferably in the tech or service sector.

Strong
understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and financial compliance
-
Proficient
in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems)

Advanced
MS Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
