

The Sociology Department at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a Part Time Academic Instructor to teach the following course, in person, during the 2026 - 2027 academic year:
SOCI 205/AQUA 202: The Oceans’ Commons and Society (3 credits | Jan. – April 2027).

We seek candidates with prior experience teaching this course. Qualified applicants will have an advanced degree in a field or program related to the course - a PhD or ABD is preferred - and previous teaching experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have strong teaching and communication skills. The Program is also seeking candidates who are committed to contributing to the university’s priorities of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
