Are you an experienced DevOps engineer who enjoys working close to both technology and people? Do you want to take a key role in ensuring that life‑critical, cloud‑based systems for healthcare are reliable, secure, and continuously improving – while also helping teams grow in how they work? If so, this role in Sectra’s Amplifier group could be a great match.
Our Amplifier group is responsible for Amplifier Services, a global SaaS offering that enables Sectra PACS customers to easily deploy and use AI applications in clinical workflows. By combining our own software products with Sectra’s broader portfolio and cloud infrastructure (Azure), we help turn AI into a safe, scalable, and clinically valuable reality for healthcare providers worldwide.
About the role
As a DevOps Engineer in the Amplifier group, you will play a central role in shaping how we build, deploy, operate, and continuously improve our SaaS offering. This is a senior‑leaning role where previous experience from similar DevOps or platform engineering positions is expected.
You will work hands‑on with infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines, but just as importantly, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, cloud engineers, application specialists, and managers. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, but also enjoys educating others, sharing best practices, and driving change in how teams work with DevOps, reliability, and automation.
What you will do
In this role, you will:
- Design, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure that support our cloud‑based AI services.
- Drive automation across build, test, deployment, and operations to improve reliability, security, and both development and operations efficiency.
- Work with infrastructure‑as‑code and cloud services to ensure scalable, reproducible, and compliant environments.
- Improve observability and incident handling for distributed, life‑critical systems.
- Collaborate closely with development to embed DevOps and reliability thinking early in the development lifecycle.
- Act as a technical advisor and educator, helping teams adopt modern DevOps practices and tools.
- Contribute to long‑term improvements around cost awareness, performance, security, and operational excellence.
Location
This role is based at Sectra’s headquarters in Linköping.
Skills & previous experience
We are specifically looking for someone who brings previous hands‑on experience from similar DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles, combined with strong collaboration skills.
Required
- Solid experience working as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a closely related role.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming for automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell, bash).
- Good understanding of security, reliability, and handling of sensitive data in cloud environments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and constructively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform).
- Experience from healthcare IT, medical imaging, or other regulated environments.
- Background in coaching teams, driving change, or introducing new ways of working.
- Experience working in international or cross‑functional teams.
Who you are
To thrive in this role, you are:
- Technically competent and comfortable making architectural and operational decisions.
- Curious and eager to continuously improve systems, processes, and collaboration.
- A natural collaborator who enjoys helping others grow and succeed.
- Structured, responsible, and motivated by building systems that clinicians and patients can trust.
What we offer
At Sectra, you will:
- Work with advanced technology that directly improves diagnostics, treatment, and patient outcomes.
- Be part of a skilled, supportive team working on real‑world, life‑critical challenges.
- Have the opportunity to influence both technical direction and ways of working.
- Enjoy a dynamic environment with room to grow, specialize, and take on new responsibilities.
