About the Role…As Category Manager – Water Sports, you’ll own the full category lifecycle – from idea and insight through to sourcing, ranging and sale. You’ll balance commercial performance with customer experience, sustainability and compliance, working closely with internal partners and global trade partners.
You’ll be both strategic and hands‑on, translating market opportunities into compelling ranges that excite customers and grow market share.

- Supplier & Stakeholder Partnerships - Build trusted partnerships that deliver great products, commercial value and shared success.
- Compliance & Sustainability - Champion safe, compliant and sustainable products that align with customer and business expectations.
- Team Leadership - Inspire, coach and develop high‑performing teams to deliver consistent category excellence.
What We’re Looking For…
- Retail Category Leadership - Proven experience as a Merchant, Buyer or Category Manager within a retail environment
- Commercial & Financial Acumen - Strong commercial capability with hands‑on experience driving sales performance and gross profit
- Supplier & Sourcing Expertise - Demonstrated capability sourcing and negotiating with domestic and international suppliers (China sourcing desirable)
- Pricing & Profit Optimisation - Track record of optimising pricing, promotions and product lifecycles to maximise profitability
- Strategic Category Planning - Experience developing and delivering full‑year category and business plans, including range and assortment reviews
- Influential Stakeholder Engagement - Confident influencer able to engage and align diverse stakeholders through presentations, workshops and collaboration
