Description:
The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting incoming materials, purchase orders, and repair orders to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity by performing detailed inspections, reviewing certification documentation, and supporting internal departments through accurate job order processing.
What you will be responsible for:
A detailed list of the main tasks and responsibilities that the role involves.
Receive, verify, log, and distribute incoming purchase orders and materials
Review customer repair orders and associated documentation; create job orders and route to appropriate departments
Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances as required
Work closely with Engineering and Operations to resolve discrepancies
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Experience in receiving inspection, quality inspection, or manufacturing inspection
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and mylars
Proficiency using calibrated measurement and inspection equipment
Knowledge of quality documentation and certification review
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)
Experience using Romer Arm and CMM equipment
Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems
Skills and Competencies:
Precision inspection and measurement
Documentation accuracy and traceability
Quality compliance and problem identification
Effective communication and teamwork
Physical labor, including standing, sitting, stooping, and lifting goods for majority of the day
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repetitively
Operating a forklift
