Description
As a Trainee CDD Analyst, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn how to map out the world of our clients (and potential clients) and build a picture of their overall wealth, ensuring we know our clients inside out.
The role entails reviewing and assessing all relevant client CDD documentation submitted as part of new business applications and trigger events, ensuring that the firm’s CDD/obligations are met at all times in full in accordance with all the relevant laws and regulations relating to client due diligence and financial crime.
Start date available between May and September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
The following duties are required of a fully trained CDD Analyst. The trainee will be required to carry out these duties once they are fully competent in the role. Full training will be given.
- Review CDD documentation for new accounts, periodic reviews, and trigger events ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
- Undertake thorough risk assessments for all client relationships to assist in managing and mitigation any financial crime risks appropriately
- Undertake electronic verification on individuals and entities to identify possible PEPs, and any other risk indicators as required
- Assist with reviewing of all payments activities including making requests for additional CDD documentation and rejecting or approving as necessary
- Ensure standard procedures are followed and checklists are fully completed at all times with appropriate notes made where discussions have taken place, or we have deviated from standard procedures
- Assist with remediation projects as required
- Conduct screening activities to ensure compliance with local and international sanctions and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical/Qualifications
- Good education with at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above
- A desire to gain a good understanding of CDD/Compliance
- Experience working in Financial Services would be advantageous but not essential.
Systems/Internal Processes
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to quickly learn and gain a good working knowledge of systems.
Regulatory Awareness/Compliance
- Ability to gain good working knowledge of the GFSC, JFSC and IOM FSA regulatory handbooks
- Keep abreast of any CDD regulatory changes and apply any changes to work
- The ability to understand and apply regulations across various jurisdictions.
