We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support the design, enhancement, and long-term reliability of a robotic laboratory automation system. This role focuses on electrical power distribution, EMC/ESD robustness, and the integration of servo drives, sensors, and embedded electronics. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to continuously improve system performance, reliability, and manufacturability while ensuring compliance with applicable international standards.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance complex automated laboratory systems containing servo motors, motion controllers, safety circuits, and a wide range of sensors
Analyze electrical system performance to identify design issues, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Own system-level EMC performance, with particular emphasis on ESD immunity and electrical noise mitigation
Design and implement electrical improvements to enhance reliability, robustness, and cost efficiency
Develop, test, validate, and document design changes following established engineering and quality processes
Ensure electrical designs meet IEC 61010 and other relevant safety, EMC, and regulatory standards
Support system verification, validation, and failure analysis activities
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate electrical solutions into complete automated systems
Create and maintain electrical schematics and PCB designs
Perform PCB bring‑up, debugging, and hardware troubleshooting at the board and system level
Evaluate, select, and qualify electronic components and suppliers
Support manufacturing, test, and service teams with technical guidance and issue resolution
Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
2+ years of professional experience in electrical design, automation, or embedded systems
Experience with power distribution, grounding, shielding, and EMC/ESD design practices
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools
Hands-on experience with board‑level and system‑level debugging using lab instrumentation
Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards applicable to laboratory or industrial equipment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast‑paced engineering environment
Clear technical communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams

The base annual salary hiring range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000
