Job Overview
If you want to make a difference in the lives of parents and their children who reside in an out of home placement, join Acenda as a Licensed Therapist in our Supportive Visitation Services program serving Atlantic, Burlington and Cape May Counties. Therapists use a trauma-informed approach and work collaboratively with program specialists and aides to facilitate meaningful visits in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting, addressing behavioral health needs and empowering parents to meet their children’s physical, emotional and developmental needs.Program Info
Supportive Visitation Services provides in-home and community-based visits for children in an out of home placement and their parents, relatives, and siblings. Therapists utilize visit coaching, model parenting skills, and facilitate visit prep and visit debriefs to promote and maintain the parent-child bond and support positive family interactions. The goals of the program are to foster effective communication, enhance parenting, achieve permanency, and maintain reunification.
