As a national leader in aviation maintenance education, the School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology delivers Transport Canada approved programs and is committed to developing skilled, safety-conscious, and job ready Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs).
The College is looking for qualified aviation professionals to fill future faculty positions in the Aircraft Maintenance programs such as: • AME-M (Mechanical) • AME-E (Avionics/Electrical) • AME-S (Structures)
Courses may focus on topics such as aircraft systems, engines, electronics, electrical generation and distribution, structures and repairs, or troubleshooting in accordance with CAR 566 requirements.
Qualifications: • Valid AME license (M, E, or S) in good standing • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in aircraft maintenance, avionics, or structures • Strong knowledge of applicable Transport Canada CAR 566 standards • Prior teaching, training or mentoring experience preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience in the development and delivery of blended and online curriculum an asset • Highly effective communication and organizational skills • Previous experience teaching in a post-secondary setting in asset • Must be available to teach during daytime hours • Must be able to reliably commute to the College Drive Campus in North Bay, ON required
Responsibilities: • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging, industry-aligned learning related to the course(s) • Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment • Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
